The Cult of Luna DVD "Fire Was Born" has been released.
The Eden
Maine video has been finished and has been well received by the band. Nick Brown from the band made the following statement
"It really is beautifully shot, I love what i've seen so far and that ending is totally perfect as well.
Thankyou
so much. I'm not sure exactly what will happen with it yet, whether it will be an official release or not. We'll
have to make a decision together but it will definitely see the light of day in some for so I will keep you posted."
Please see below for an update on the Cult of Luna DVD.

The Airbourne shoot at the Astoria went very well. The
two day shoot was fault free and the band have been presented with the footage. We await their decision on how the material
will be used.
See below for a photo of the Muckspreader crew with Airbourne after the second concert at the Astoria.

Paulie Cocadiz has been working furiously to finish the edit of the Isis concert from the Koko Club in 2006.
The band asked for it to be completed ~mid August. They were sent a finished version for their comments, we wait with anticipation.
Dave Prosser and Paulie completed the DVD shoot for Evile in Leeds at the end of July. This is now being
edited. A clip should be available soon as will news of the DVD release from Earache.
The Cult of Luna shoot was a great success, a five Sony EX1 shoot with no complications! The concert just fit onto our
limited number of memory cards with minutes to spare.
Each camera clocked up ~25Gb of material which was downloaded
in situ onto a hard drive for storage. We are now part of the tapeless revolution, no looking back.
The
word is that the Cult of Luna show will be the main feature in a Blu-ray DVD release probably in the new year.
The Isis DVD (the recording of their 'Oceanic' concert from 2006) has been given a provisional release date of Jan
2009 on Ipecac records. We have been given the deadline of Mid-August to finish the edit.
In other news, Dave
Prosser will be directing an 'as live' promo shoot with Earache band Evile, in a recording studio in Leeds later
in July. This has been slated for the bonus DVD to accompany the re-release of their first album.
Following
a productive meeting with Johannes from Cult of Luna, the Scala shoot has been increased to 5 cameras.
The
Cult of Luna live video has been confirmed. It will be shot at the Scala in Kings Cross on July 1st - The same venue as the
Pelican DVD 'After the Ceiling Cracked'.
It will be a four camera full HD shoot using the Sony PMW EX-1
cameras, Dan 'Feel' Roberts will be handling the sound recording.
The Deicide Ad has become
an underground hit (see the reviews section). One particular Italian viewer commented:
"è bellissimo
ahahahhaha cmq stanno troppo avanti in inghilterra ed è pure un bel modo per pubblicizzare in maniera ironica
il metal" which loosly translates as:
"it is beautiful ahahahhaha you english are
so advanced and it is totally original to use irony to publicise metal".
We have been
asked to work with Cult of Luna on their next UK tour. More info as we are told...
There is a plan for an HMV version
to air on mainstream TV and a version with new titles and an American voice-over has also been comissioned for US TV.
The advert is nearly finished. It got rejected by the sensors; not for any of the gratuatous images therein, but for not
holding a section of text for long enough. Once we get the approved version back, it will be dubbed for TV. There is talk
of HMV using the ad in one of their campaigns, such was the impact of the 30 second gem. Click here for the Zavvi version and here for the HMV version.
The advert is taking shape. This is a bit of a departure for us in terms of content and style. It is rare for
us to generate fictional material and to have to convey such a lot of information in such a short space of time. Watch
this space for previews.
Muckspreader has been asked to produce an advert for the release for the new Deicide
album.
Some more reviews of the Pelican DVD have been unearthed. Thanks to Paulie for the latest
one. MTV have featured Pelican and the DVD on their website. Laurent from the band has also written a blog about
his early metal influences
here.
The Pelican DVD has been released, it is like a rash over the internet, you can buy it everywhere! Please

Got news that the
Pelican DVD we recorded at the Scala in Kings Cross back in December 2005 is going to be released by Hydrahead in November
